LadyAxe is an Afrikaner from South Africa, from the culture known as the "Boere".
This song is about her love and pride for her Celtic/ Germanic Viking heritage, even though being born in "the wrong place". The Boers are perpetually wrongfully judged by reputation by outsiders and this song reminds all that some Boers will not tolerate ignorance.
