"In the Lair of the Bear Mother" is LadyAxe's first full-length album.

It boasts a unique lo-fi feel with retro atmosphere and minor theatrics to establish the character of the Bear Mother.

The Bear Mother is based on a character by novelist Natasha Danzig in her book, "Animosity" and is also LadyAxe's totem, following a vision she had as a 4-year old in South Africa.

This album is a loosely conceptual and designed to take the listener into the world of the Ursai, the cave of the ancient monster-sorceress and her life-lessons which she shares through every song.
