Background:
Likened to the Jewish Leviathan, Finnish sea monster Iko Turso is noted in the Finnish mythology of The Kalevala, as a bearded walrus of colossal size. Louhi is one of the villains form the Kalevala, a wicked queen of Pohjola who commanded Iko Turso to attack the ship of Väinämöinen. But Väinämöinen bound Iko Turso with spells so that he would never again surface. In the song, a new priestess casts her own spell to loose Iko Turso to serve her.
