Background:

Based on “The Shadow Over Innsmouth” where the U-boats had launched torpedo’s at the black Devil Reef where the Deep Ones resided, this song’s story is also fiction.
It regards the crew of the U-boat that shot at the reef, being cursed by Dagon to never die, yet be trapped in their submarine, ever changing into the abominations of Innsmouth.
